Schoeller Holdings is a major shareholder of FSL Holdings Pte. Ltd., which owns around 26% of FSL Trust, a Singapore based specialist ship leasing provider. FSL Holdings Pte. Ltd., was incorporated in September 2002 as First Ship Lease Ltd. to provide long-term non-tax driven operating and finance leases to shipping and industrial companies. The successful conceptualization resulted to the inception and listing of FSL Trust in the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Ltd in March 2007. FSL Trust is targeting a diverse asset base within the global maritime idustry, and offers its services exclusively on a long term bareboat charter basis. The global maritime industry is a capital intensive one and how shipping companies manage their finances is a critical success factor.
